pastor-photo1Pastor Wayne Meier

The Reverend Wayne Meier has served Reformation Evangelical Lutheran Church, Genesee Depot, Wisconsin since 1985. He grew up in West Allis,WI and attended Northwestern Preparatory School and Northwestern College in Watertown, WI, followed by four years at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. During that time he spent one year as a vicar at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church & School in Red Wing, Minnesota. Pastor Meier’s first “call” and ordination were at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dexter Township, Minnesota, where he served for three and one-half years and also started Faith Lutheran Church (now called Beautiful Savior) in Austin, Minnesota. He served seven and one-half years at Peace
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granger, Indiana, near South Bend, starting an elementary school there. For twenty-five years he has faithfully served the Genesee community and his members at Reformation, seeing many changes including two major additions and remodeling projects. That is why Reformation is called, “the church with three cornerstones”.

He has been married to his wife Kathy, a registered nurse, for 40 years and they have four grown children and three grandchildren.

Our Commitment:

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to the changing of lives through Jesus Christ by witnessing, praying, teaching, and serving members and the community, both at home and around the world, helping them find salvation in Jesus Christ. Our message is the Bible-based Gospel: We preach salvation through faith in Christ
Jesus, our Lord and Savior. To those who seek a church home, we offer fellowship with a living Savior within a family of friendly, fellow-believers.
